Day 4: I am thankful for summer rainstorms.

Today I am thankful for summer rainstorms.  NOT the kind of storms that are destructive and cause power outages and trees to fall down. No, not those.

I am thankful for the kind of storm that gives you a break, even a brief one, from the crazy heat that we've been dealing with.  The kind that gives us hope that there are better days to come. The kind of storm that makes you want to run outside and get drenched in. The summer rain that helps everything grow. Grass, trees, flowers, vegetables, gardens and hope.

I am thankful for the summer storms that make us forget how miserably hot we are and give us hope.
